If someone was considering purchasing equipment to test for metal content of silver items, what would be the best product to buy ? Is an XRF gun the way to go -- and if so -- is there anything you should know about using one in terms of safety, maintenance and upkeep ? If shopping for a used one - are there things to watch out for ? Tks. IP: Logged |

My friend has an XRF gun, they have to be registered and you must take a radiation class (online) So they are kinda high maintenance. Plus they are the price of a small car.  However they are VERY cool to have if you are willing to deal with those costs. IP: Logged |
