We thought this error was resolved. The upload works for admin but if we login as a user we see the error. We will report it. Thanks. IP: Logged |

You didn't specify which search. Using the forum search we came up with 3 results. Google decides what it wants to reveal. Google hasn't added those pages to its index. IP: Logged |

On the SSF we have 11,886 pages. On some days Google has indexed over 8,000. This is a forever changing index. Two minutes ago it was 7,120. Just now it was 7,610. Google may be fast but it isn't thorough. IP: Logged |

The tech support persons made an adjustment to the SQL data base configuration. To me it seems to have fixed the upload issue. Please let me know about any other difficulties. Thanks IP: Logged |

Hi Scott-- I'm also having trouble uploading. Tried to upload to my own album. Got this message: "Error No file was uploaded! If you have really selected a file to upload, check that the server allows file uploads... " Also, FWIW, I took a look at my album. I know I've posted more pix than are shown there. Tho' I suppose it's possible that some were before we had our own albums? Not sure. IP: Logged |

I just did a quick up load to your album as admin...no problem Later I'll try as you. It might just have been one of those things... try again. IP: Logged |

Seaduck, I uploaded as you using two of the three upload methods. NO Problem. I don't have flash enabled on my PC so this method wasn't tried. Use the html5 method...it seems to work best. IP: Logged |

Hi Scott-- Tried HTML5 method. Got message that file size was too big. Confused -- the guidelines say that if you use the Photo Gallery, you don't have to resize photos. Had tried to upload 2 pix...1 approx. 2 MB, one approx. 2.5 MB.

The file size restriction for the upload to the photo gallery has been in place for a while so I am guessing you have a new camera. The maximum file size for uploaded pictures to the photo gallery is:
When we first started the photo gallery there were no restrictions and soon we ran out of disk space. The above restriction has been in place for a very long while without a problem. Seaduck if you reduce the file size your camera is saving the photo or if you use a photo editor to reduce the file size/width/height you shouldn't have a problem. The photo gallery resizes any successfully uploaded photo to 640 pixels for use in the forums. You can also use the photo gallery to re-crop any uploaded photo. IP: Logged |

FYI A 2048 wide x 2048 height image (max file size 1024k (1.024 meg)) and the same photo on the forums automatically resized to 640 wide x 640 height (file size aprox. 27k or .027 meg). One of the reasons why cameras save a large file is because printing requires the larger size (around 300 dpi). Viewing the same image on a web page only requires 72 to 96 dpi. IP: Logged |

Hi Scott-- I'll give it another shot later. As you suggest, probably a size issue. I misunderstood the guidelines and assumed that we didn't need to pay attention to the overall file size. Images were shot with my iPhone 8. I'll just save them as smaller jpegs. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Everyone, Would a slightly larger maximum make it easier? ...I don't use/have a smartphone and don't have the insight. IP: Logged |
