cbc58 Posts: 333 Registered: Aug 2008	posted 09-05-2018 10:50 AM Would any other countries outside the U.S. have used the term "COIN" on silver ? Or is that pretty much just a U.S. thing. The reason I ask is that I have a spoon marked COIN with a retailers name of C. VOLCKMAN, and the only C. VOLCKMAN I can find in my searches is a retailer in England. There may be someone in America by that name but I haven't found them. They wouldn't make coin silver spoons in the U.S. and ship them to England with a retailers name on them - would they ? Kimo Posts: 1627 Registered: Mar 2003	posted 09-05-2018 05:53 PM My understanding of the UK laws is that if something is not hallmarked as being sterling, including imported things, then it cannot be sold commercially using the word silver but rather one must use the term white metal. Does anyone know for sure if this is the case? IP: Logged
