We have had a couple of house fires recently in our general area, and it got me to thinking how depressing it would be to see early silver get damaged or destroyed due to a fire. Is there a way to physically protect it? I was reading about fire safes and they say don't store anything inside that would be effected by moisture. Guess you could enclose small items in plastic bags and store inside? Insurance replacement costs might get you your money back, but good luck finding replacements. Has anyone come up for a solution for this other than hope nothing happens? Just curious... IP: Logged |

Probably what you said, wrap them up and store them in a fireproof safe. That's probably your best bet. I agree, to see early silver ruined in a fire would be absolutely terrible! IP: Logged |
