Good morning, I bought several sterling pendants with copyright to Woods. Can anyone tell me more about this artist? Thank you. cm IP: Logged |

Can you post pictures? The name doesn't ring a bell, but perhaps a picture would help me or somebody else date it, etc. IP: Logged |

Sorry about the delay, computer went belly up. Here are views of Woods' pendants. The chain is Mexican but a useful size. The pendants are about 1/8" deep and hollow. Thank you for your help. cm IP: Logged |

Hello again, I was unaaable to send the picture of the Woods pendants, Recently I saw similar pendants and was told they are Middle Eastern in origin, made to contain prayers or phrases boxed into a hollow pendant. Short of sending a picture, they are decorated hollow boxes 1/8" high, decorated with beads of silver, the 2 loops on top are a large diameter, 1/8". They ae marked c. WOODS and 925. Thanks for your time. cm IP: Logged |

They do seem to have a Middle Eastern appearance. I don't know about their purpose, though. Perhaps they were made to contain prayers, etc., but I wouldn't be surprised if they were tourist items. IP: Logged |
