The markings read... there is a crown symbol followed by 18 (assuming Karats) followed by an anchor symbol followed by a one. Then there are the letters, "A & C" written. Can you tell me what the two symbols mean? IP: Logged
Paul Lemieux Posts: 1792 Registered: Apr 2000	posted 06-14-2001 12:07 PM Hi. Your ring is 18 karat gold, and is from Birmingham, England. The 18 means the gold quality, the anchor means it was made in Birmingham, the "one" is actually probably a letter I or L, and is a date letter. Finally, "A & C" is the maker. We can probably get the exact date for you. Take another look at the date letter, and try to describe what kind of letter it is, along with the shape of the "box" it is in. IP: Logged
