I have a brooch that looks to be a piece of American studio silver, but I have been unable to find a reference for the maker's mark. The piece is silver & copper with a semiprecious stone. The maker's mark is "Rudy". Does anyone have any idea who this smith is/was? Thanks! IP: Logged |

Can you guestimate how old your piece would be? Do you know where it came from? IP: Logged |

The piece looks like it could be as old as late 1950's, more likely later than that. I have no idea where it came from. It is marked other than the maker's mark with Silver & Copper and CU (isn't that the chemical designation for copper?) IP: Logged |
