Happy Holidays!! I have 2 questions First I have a Solje Pin. I do believe it is an Early one. The Markings throw me though...it is marked 13 1/4 I.F. Pictures below of the Solje piece. The Other question....any info out there on a Maker Called Macefield? I believe it is Arts & Crafts. Thank you in advance and Happy Holidays! Roger

Hi, Roger. I am sorry that your photos are no longer available. As to your question regarding Macefield, we have recently seen two very nice examples by Macefield and have not yet found any information about this maker. The quality of the work is very good and so we are hopeful to eventually come across further information. Below is a small ladle by Macefield.

Macefield is/was the mark of the partnership of William Mason and Leonard Field, Winchester, Mass. They were active in the late 1940s, is all that I'm aware of. IP: Logged |

Callie, Thank you so much for this information. It is certainly enough to put me on the track to pursue more research. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress. Cheers, June IP: Logged |
