Greetings, I bought a bracelet for my wife recently and was wondering if someone could help me in identifying the age and maker. The letters M?JE are inside an oval with "taxco mexico 925" around them. The ? maybe an A R or N possibly. It has what I believe is a bell with the number 3 inside of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.....Roger IP: Logged |

I can't really help on the maker. The description of their mark does not ring a bell. If you are really interested there is a book of Mexican maker's mark available new for about 17.00; I don't have it, but understand it is pretty thorough. The "bell with the number 3 inside" is actually an eagle shaped assay mark. This was used on Mexican silver from c. 1945-79. So your item was made in Taxco, Mexico at least 25 years ago. IP: Logged |

Paul, thanks for the date and the clarification on the eagle. I will keep researching the maker. Roger IP: Logged |
