I have a silver plated bowl that I think is a blackberry bowl. It has open areas in the bowl where the juice of the berry probably drains through. I am trying to identify the maker. there is an outstretched hand, the word LONDON and the letter (W). The bowl has a wreath on the bottom of the bowl and has repousse grapes and leaves all along the rim. I would appreciate any help anyone has re: this item, Marilyn711 IP: Logged |

According to my Bradbury's, "The Hand", representing an open hand with palm up, was reproduced extensively on articles plated by the process of electro-deposition, mainly in the late 19th and early 20th century. Would you be able to post a photograph of this item as there may be more than one of these marks. IP: Logged |

Thank you very much for your information. I don't know if I will be able to post the mark, If I can figure it out I will. Do you know what maker has the W mark. It looks like it is in parenthesis. IP: Logged |
