[10-0223] Hello! I have a silver & jade pin, and the MARK on it: I went through the entire site, looking for it, and I couldn't find anything about it written! I know it's a lot to ask, but if anyone can tell me the NAME of this mark, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you in advance! IP: Logged |

I believe the letter to be a lower case "e". This letter, stamped within this type of shield, denotes the year 1780 or 1820 for the London Assay office or 1904 for the Birmingham Assay office. But one would have to see any other marks on your piece in order to give you a more precise response, i.e. a lion, or an anchor ?? Can you post a picture?? IP: Logged |

WOW, THANKS! I don't think it's THAT old! I'll go give it a bit of polish, and get out the camers, and post it within the hour! This place is AMAZING!! Be back in a jiff! IP: Logged |
