I have this bracelet that I have looked on the internet for some clue to what or where it comes from, but I can't seem to find anything similar. Please if you know where it comes from please help. One side has a mark of a cross and I can't really make out the other sides markings. All of the pieces in are separate and looks to be hand crafted. Thank you IP: Logged |

The fourth picture contains what look like hallmarks. Can you post a close-up of them? Tom IP: Logged |

I have been looking on the Internet and I think I finally saw something that looks similar. Rajasthan India Asia Silver(bazuband in Hindi, called bahutta by Moslems) Not sure if its the same but the pictures I have found look very close to what I have. I am still unsure of the markings though and if any one can make them out and know what they are would be very helpful. Thanks for the help. IP: Logged |

There are a few recently published titles about Ethnic jewelry. I see them at every Borders and Barnes and Noble I go to. Perhaps if you are near one of those stores and have a chance, you can drop in and go to the antiques section and see if they have any of the books. I don't own the books, but they might be of help to you in identifying your bracelet. They are amply illustrated. Unfortunately, this type of jewelry is not my forte. IP: Logged |
