I hope somebody can help me. I have a large silver brooch typically from the deco era.It has various markings as follows: F then something in the middle which cannot be read then either a N OR A M followed by a symbol which I cannot distinguish then 925 and a large N. It also has a capital large D stamped in two further places on the brooch.I wonder if the large N at the end of the 925 might help to find out where it was made, and if the letter D is significant to a jewelery maker? Any help would be greatly apppreciated. Many thanks IP: Logged |

The D has no general meaning to jewelry makers...but it is very hard to tell what you've got without a picture. Lots of silver jewelry was minimally marked, and of course lots was made by craftsman/amateurs...but it's tough to go any further when flying blind. IP: Logged |
