Hello,

I have a pair of vintage earrings that I like a lot and I'm curious to find out more about the person who made them. They are screwback sterling earrings with some blue enamel. The end of the screwbacks is marked sterling. The back of one of the earrings is signed 3 RYAN or possibly BRYAN, the other earring (at the exact same spot near the edge) is marked sterling.

Thank you.

Is Bryan in script?

These might be the work of Diane Bryan, b. 1930, a St. Louis silversmith.

When you say "vintage", how old are you thinking the earrings are?

Sounds like John Bryan (Ashville, NC), mid century modernist circa 1950s. His pieces are usually signed STERLING BRYAN, and often have round concave enamel surfaces. Do a Google search for john bryan enamel and see if the jewelry that comes up is similar to yours.
