Hi. I'm 20 years old and live in the UK. Yesterday I discovered a ring my mother gave me about 8 years ago. It is very old looking, looks to be silver and has a diamond looking stone embedded in the top of it. Upon discovering it in a little cloth pouch at the bottom of a box of junk I became very intrigued. I had forgotten all about the ring as I don't think it would have appealed to me very much at the age of 12. Engraved on the inside is the word 'silver' and the letter 'Z'. That is all I can see written on the ring. I showed the ring to my mother who tells me she doesn't remember where she got it from but says she remembers wearing it when she met my father (just over 20 years ago). Unfortunatly I cannot enclose a photo of the ring. All I can say is, it looks like a typical ladies diamond ring. The metal is old looking silver and it has the engravings on I described above. The ring is slightly mis-shapened. The "diamond" is very sparkly! I would love to hear from anyone who can tell me anything about it, like where it was made or how old it is.
