I've had this for awhile and at one time thought I knew the maker, but if so, have forgotten. Looks like the last letter in the makers mark didn't strike but I can't find anything for AM. Looks like Chicago work. IP: Logged |

It's a partial mark of The Art Metal Studios. The little arrow at the top is a "T" and the final "S" is missing. It was started in 1912 by Boker and Gould as the Chicago Art Silver Shop. In 1918 they changed the name to The Art Silver Shop (with a mark that looks like SAS). Finally in 1934 they changed the name to The Art Metal Studios. Much of their early work was great, but the quality slid a bit at the end. IP: Logged |

thanks for the information. I finally found the mark on your site. A little late in Arts & Crafts production but still a nice hand made piece. IP: Logged |
