[26-1575] Hi I have this pendant I can't read the mark. I had to clean it several times to get it this clear. All I can clearly tell is _ _ ANSEN the other side has a block with STER (sterling). Thought is was Hansen but all of their marks are HaH or Hansen in script. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
I am a vintage/antique person and jewelry lover everything from costume to silver and gold as long as its old or unusual. For about 20 years I wore only silver then started mixing silver and gold. I am known for having a ring on every finger. LOL I have a very large silver collection including southwestern from the 70's 80's and some art Nouveau Art Deco from the late 1800 early 1900. I will be selling some of my collection. I am taking care of my 5 grand kids. Thanks IP: Logged |

Hello, The only two Danish silversmiths which I've found till now are G(erhard)Hansen worked from 1960-1971 and the other is Hans Hansen worked from 1930 till 1950.(Located in Kolding). There are a lot of jewelry collectors at this forum, so I'm curious how long this names are give the right direction? I will follow the topic. Success with your hobby! Can you tell us which silver items you collect at your side? At my side I collect Norwegian Silver and Dutch silver. Greetings from Holland! IP: Logged |

Thank you both. I don't think its hanson and I have gone through almost every letter to see if I can figure out what the 1st 2 are. Someone else suggested it might be an American silversmith. Dianne IP: Logged |

You might could try Y. Mansen. The first two letters looks like Y and the M ( wider space is used for stamp, instead of the letter H. I hope I say it clear. Succes with your hobby and perhaps you get more reactions. Enjoy the silverworks. IP: Logged |
