Hello all, Here is an odd item; a modernist sterling cuff bracelet with a Reed & Barton mark. As far as I can recall, the only Reed & Barton sterling jewelry I have seen are pins and bracelets that match flatware patterns. Is this a scarce production item, or did a craft person cut out a section of a sterling tray and fashion it into a bracelet? Any ideas would be welcome! Brent IP: Logged |

I suspect this is a R&B made piece made in a Modernist style. Note that there is no distortion in the Marks. Were it hammered from a tray or plate the hammer would have created drastic distortions in the letters & numbers. Fred IP: Logged |

Thanks, Fred! I hadn't thought of the distortion that the hammering would have caused. It must be a genuine R&B product, but I can't recall seeing anything comprable from them. Brent IP: Logged |
