I have a man's silver ring, that belonged to my grandfather. It is marked Sterling, with "C&C" or "C&E" inside. The letters are inside triangles that face outward. Can anyone verify a maker or date? I've never seen an actual diamond in silver before, but the setting looks authentic. IP: Logged |

The mark sounds like Clark & Coombs, Providence, Rhode Island. In 1872 they began business in North Attleboro, MA and then moved to New York. In 1892 they moved to Providence. In 1875 they began manufacturing rings. They were known for their gold plated rings. I know that they were still in business as of 1978. I am not sure if they are still in business. IP: Logged |
