The popular designer Alexis Bittar started out with colorfully glowing hand-carved Lucite jewelry. As his success increased, he seemed to run out of original ideas. His latest jewelry is much more ornate and contrived than his original work. Here is an instance in which he ripped off a classic Scandinavian design (he made it wider and gave it a gunmetal finish, but still...)
