June, for those of us that don't go north of the Mason-Dixon, is this a good show for finding any Southern coin silver? IP: Logged |

The Armory show will host about 100 dealers with about half a dozen who specialize in silver. Of that half dozen, I know at least three who are not likely to have any Southern coin silver. I phoned the show promoter to see if they could shed any light on the possiblity of finding Southern coin silver and they were not familiar enough with what every dealer would be bringing to be helpful in this regard. I can tell you that the Armory show is a high end show and if there is any Southern coin silver, it should be of high quality. Would I make a special trip above the Mason-Dixon? Not unless there is some other motivation. You bring up a valuable point in your post. Being from the New York metropolitan area, we do tend to hear more about the shows in this area although we try to root out shows wherever they occur. If you know of any local shows in your area that include silver, we would greatly appreciate hearing about them. Thanks for your interest and keep posting! IP: Logged |
