Greetings. Portsmouth Museums, specifically the Courthouse Galleries, will be hosting an exhibit in 2004 on Early American Silversmiths with a focus on James Gaskins. Gaskins was a Norfolk/Portsmouth silversmith who produced quality silver items during the late 18th - early 19th centuries. We would like to extend an invitation to all owners of Gaskins silver to display your pieces at this upcoming exhibit for the purposes of public appreciation and the promotion of historic American material culture. We equally extend an invitation to all silver enthusiasts to come and enjoy this exhibit in 2004! Thank you. IP: Logged |

Thank you for letting us know about the upcoming Exhibit. What is the contact information should any of our participants have pieces by Gaskins? Also, when will the particulars be available about the exhibition? IP: Logged |
