The Brimfield flea market is being held this week, and probably many of our members attended/will attend. Does anybody have any interesting finds or sightings to report? I haven't purchased anything too noteworthy (yet, hopefully), though I did see some great pieces (priced accordingly). My favorites were a Geo. Washington Medallion ladle marked by Newell Harding; an 1860s salad serving spoon with a cast applied lobster; a crumb knife with a big beetle on the blade; and an unusual pr. of Shiebler Homeric medallion forks (the three-tined business ends were turned 90 degrees like twist handle butter knives). If I think of it, I will bring my camera tomorrow and try to get some pictures. [This message has been edited by Paul Lemieux (edited 05-15-2003).] IP: Logged |

Sorry for the late reply. We did not get to Brimfield and would love to hear more about it. We did hear from a dealer that we know that he had some very good finds. Seems there was a bit of a renaissance at the May fair. Hope it sets a trend. Please do post some photos when you have a chance. IP: Logged |
