The Woodstock Historical Society is sponoring a lecture, "Vermont Coin Silver and the Contributions of R.H. Bailey of Woodstock" by a true Vermonter, David Perrin. David started to research pieces of silver from his mother’s collection of coin silver spoons. He found out how they were created, how the silver makers used simple tools to produce complex pieces, and why each silver maker had his own symbol. He is the author of: "Coin Silver: Is it a Vermont Mark?" At the John Cotton Dana Researrch Library Admission: non-members $5, members freee 07/11/2006 7 PM IP: Logged |
