Starting on March 30- July 22, 2007, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art will be hosting this amazing collection of Paul de Lamerie Silver. This is a traveling exhibit and is currently finishing its run in London and will be on loan to the Brooks Museum for the spring of 2007. There is also book that accompanies this collection Beyond the Maker's Mark - Paul de Lamerie Silver in the Cahn Collection by Alcorn, Ellenor. IP: Logged |

Those interested in this should also plan a visit to the Virginia Museum of FIne Arts, where the Gans Collection is very strong in de Lamerie, Storrs, and that sort of work. As I've noted before, the old catalogue of that collection is now available very cheaply, as a new one is about to come out. Not really my cup of tea, but it is an impressive collections and exhibit.
