The Ring Shows: Then & Now and Putting the Bank Back Together Georgia Museum of Art Athens, Georgia August 23-November 2, 2008 In 1977, the Jewelry/Metals Department at the University of Georgia began sponsoring three consecutive annual juried exhibits of rings submitted by artists from around the US. The department has invited the artists back to create new rings to be shown with their original work from the 1970's in the exhibition The Ring Shows: Then and Now. As further celebration, the department has organized a new international juried ring exhibition Putting the Band Back Together. The Georgia Museum of Art presents these two collections of rings together for the first time. IP: Logged |
