For the first time, the Victoria and Albert Museum and Fairfax House York have collaborated to create a display of gold & silver cake and fish servers. More than forty British artists were commissioned to create works of art based upon the theme of fish and cake servers, essential items for the Georgian dining and tea tables. The finished products are an incredible representation of the skilled silversmiths as well as their interpretation of the subject.
