Went today, brought home a W. Mouton coffin-fiddle tablespoon with nice wriggle work. Felt like I was fiddling while Rome burned. IP: Logged |

The Big Flea Market was in Nashville in November, but we could not attend the weekend they were there. I hope they return someday. For some reason they set up in Franklin, Tennessee that is a suburb on the southern side of Nashville. Nashville has a regular flea market the fourth weekend of every month at the Fairgrounds and I was surprised that the Big Flea Market did not set up there. The regular flea market has been adding regular antique dealers for the last several years and they seem to enjoy coming to the Nashville market. We went to several local antique stores today, but came up short on silver items. I kept wondering whether the butterfly effect could explain today; and decided that it must be the reason. We just got back from the nyc big flea. It was a nice little show with a fair amount of silver. Unfortunately, we brought home nothing. But it was good to see a solid attendance and actually some young faces in the crowd. IP: Logged |

I was there on Thursday and Saturday-got a nice pile of coin pieces (spoons, forks and tongs) and a nice pair of early Irish salts. Good little show for picking. Next year, will check this site before I go-would love to meet SMPub members in person! IP: Logged |
