Another sweet-as-sugar tradecard. I have only recently tied in the four principles of the firm, Augustus Edward & Josiah G. Bachelder and Julius Aboyneau & Jacob Peabody Palmer, into my silver tree. The four were related by the marriage in 1853 of Augustus Bachelder to Lucy Palmer, sister of Julius and Jacob.
This card dates from the second incarnation of the firm, 1864-1884, after the four founders brought in as junior partners R. V. C. Emerson, G. T. Houghton, J. A. Lieghton, and G. D. Smith IP: Logged |
