Here's a nifty trade card in the Egyptian taste, c 1880. I have found nothing on the company nor the man (though there were numerous Denison's in Westerly at the time), but I do not have a descent Rhode Island reference. If anyone does, take a look and see if he is recorded, please.

Here, for the interested, is the Dixon House mentioned above. It was built in 1866 by Peleg Clarke.

Hello, Dennison is in Green's book on trade cards, he references Silver Magazine March June 1977 and the Warshaw Collection of Business Americana, National Museum of American History. It's a start. IP: Logged |
