A friend ran across these in a lot of old photos and passed it along to me.
The shop was at 209 North Broad Street. IP: Logged |

Based on the information in your page for Frank Dimmock, Sr., Frank Jr would have been born between 1874 and 1879, so based on their apparent ages in the photo, I would place the date of these photos somewhere after 1900. Nice find. IP: Logged |

I did not have Frank jr in the project before the pictures. Based on the 1900 census, he was born in August 1882. IP: Logged |

If it is correct that Frank's first wife died in 1789, then he must have remarried. IP: Logged |

I think your are going to find that Frank Sr's older brother Charles H was also a jeweler and a watchmaker. IP: Logged |

Like so much, this too may go unacknowledged, but I can add that Frank H Dimmick "Sr" was Frank Holcomb Dimmick. His brother Charles was Charles Hale Dimmick, and their father was Kimball Hale Dimmick who figures prominently in early California history. Frank's son's middle name was Huse. IP: Logged |

The use of term junior for the son may have been in error. I have always believed that to be a "junior" the middle name must be identical to the senior. I must state however that my father's middle name was Henry and my middle name was Harold, but I always used the term junior. IP: Logged |
