Hello all! Does anyone know exactly what this Medallion serving piece is for? It is a big item, 9 13/16" long with a 4 1/8" long bowl. The bowl is slightly dished, and has a beveled lower cutting edge. I think it might be an ice cream slice, but I suppose it could be a large jelly server, or even a small fish server (unlikely). Is anyone familiar enough with Gorham flatware to identify it? On a related note, I have seen some Gorham Medallion flatware on eBay, advertised as "new pieces". Is there fake or reproduced Medallion on the market? Thanks! I think it is an ice cream server which is different from an ice cream knife. Yes, Gorham is making some Medallion servers again. I think that Ross-Simons had a piece on a catalogue cover a while back. I noticed a few macaroni servers on eBay in the last month. IP: Logged |
