Hi, I'm not sure what the physical difference is between Gorham Mothers Old and Mothers New - I understand 'new' is supposed to be 'ribbed' but not sure what 'ribbed' means or looks like. Is it the little arrow-like shape at the bowl of a spoon, for example? Thanks. IP: Logged |

The handles on both Old Mothers and New Mothers terminate on the back of the bowls with a triangular design. If you look at the opposite end of that handle, however, you will see a rib or ridge that runs down a portion of the handle on New Mothers. No such rib or ridge is present on the back of Old Mothers.
