I have just purchased a set of fruit knives with silverplate blade in the Mythologic pattern by Gorham. What is interesting is that the pieces are marked wiht both the Gorham hallmark and "heller" on the base of the sterling handle. The condition is quite impressive and I was wondering what the link between the "Heller" mark on the pieces. I do know that Heller designed the pattern but were these a special run? Or was it just a first production of the flatware? IP: Logged |

Interesting. Is the "Heller" mark struck, part of the handles' casting (if cast they be), or hand-engraved? IP: Logged |

wow! thank you for the quick reply. I was working on getting an image posted but was having some trouble getting the small "heller" inscription to appear. This is exactly what is written on these pieces! Thank you for another informative response! IP: Logged |
