Shiebler Documentation? Shiebler clearly was one of the most prolific silversmiths of his time. In all my years as a silver specialist, I have only seen two pieces of Shiebler Documentation and heard about another piece. Shiebler clearly knew how to mass market; it makes me wonder how it was accomplished. You would think that there would be some quantity of catalogues and other paperwork surfacing from time to time. If you have Shiebler documentation, please tell us about it. IP: Logged |

I have a question about the pages of SMP's Book of Silver for the Shiebler Fiorito pattern. I am still all about the botanicals & wonder if anyone knows what the flowers are of this multi-motif pattern. I saw that the description for the pattern says there are at least 13 patterns. From the photos I would say there are 12 patterns. I think that #2 & #6 are a variation of a poppy. From my experience in collecting florals from this time period, it seemed that most series consisted of 12 different flowers. IP: Logged |
