I wish I could help, but I have never seen a pattern such as you describe. Nor have I seen a piece of Tiffany flatware marked "PAT. C." IP: Logged |

As it happens, I found it in an old catalog just yesterday. It is called Old Thread & Shell and was introduced in 1905. Nice design. If I ever serve sliced tomatoes it will come in handy. IP: Logged |

Sorry, should have been more specific. It was not a Tiffany catalog, but from a dealer's shop in San Francisco about 1970 or so. I did get a message from a friend that the pattern is available at the Silver Warehouse (www.silverwarehouse.com), which shows a picture of the pattern under "Shell & Thread." Unfortunately they don't list a tomato slice, so I can't see how well I did for my $2.50 investment. IP: Logged |
