Pictured is a Tiffany youth knife. Has anybody seen the fork and spoon in this pattern?

Paul, I am not familiar with this pattern. Does it have a date letter (probably not)?

I forgot to photograph the marks--it does have the "M" date mark. I would say the piece is from the 1880s or so.

Hi Paul,

Great piece! Tiffany seems to have made a number of different youth patterns. Aside from the Jack & Jill pattern illustrated in the flatware book, I have seen a complete three piece "Peter Pan" set. This set, like yours, seems to have been based on the ANTIQUE pattern. The Peter Pan set features applied figures on an etched background, though, where yours seem to be all etched. The Peter Pan spoon has the C date letter.

I have also seen a "Man in the Moon" etched spoon, also ANTIQUE based, which could have been the spoon for your set if each piece had a different motif. I believe it also had the large M date letter.

I'll try to post the Peter Pan spoon soon!

Here is a picture of the Peter Pan spoon. The character is not readily identifiable, and probably would have remained a mystery to me except for a chance encounter with dealer Nili Gitig, who happened to have a youth knife and fork with the same etched background. The knife had an applied image of Peter Pan (undeniable), and the fork had an applied Wendy and the two other children. We decided that the spoon character was probably one of the Lost Boys. There is an off chance that the spoon did not go with the knife and fork, but with identical etched backgrounds I kind of doubt it.

I apologize for the fuzziness of the pictures. The character is quite worn, and I'm afraid that a bit of his face has chipped off!
