We inherited some Tiffany Vine pieces, including 6 small forks shown in the picture, third from left. How would one describe them? Cocktail forks?. The motif is obscure, fruits appearing to be pomegranates or flowers or pineapples? (plus Cold meat fork in pea-pod motif and Serving spoon (medium bowl size) in Strawberry vine pattern) all are in super condition.

The piece you ask about is an oyster fork, in the squash motif. Suggest you read all about Tiffany's Vine pattern in the book Tiffany Silver Flatware, 1845-1905: When Dining Was an Art (Woodbridge, Suffolk: Antique Collectors' Club, 2000) by William P. Hood Jr., with Roslyn Berlin and Edward Wawrynek, pp. 186-201. IP: Logged |
