I am trying to find out some information about a sterling silver pattern called Holly that Tiffany made. I believe they only produced unusual serving and decorative pieces in this pattern. Can someone provide me with any information on the years it was produced and what is available in the market today? IP: Logged |

The exact dates when the Holly pattern was made are unknown, but c. 1875-1890 are reasonable guesses. You are correct in that it was a not-full-line pattern limited to a few place and serving piece types. These included: caviar fork, child's fork, ice cream spoon, teaspoon, grapefruit spoon, orange spoon, sugar spoon, sauce ladle, bon bon spoons (pierced and unpierced), hors d'oeuvre fork, olive fork, sugar sifter, olive spoon, pickle knife, small jelly knife and cheese knife. These are all illustrated in Fig. 397, p. 268, in the book Tiffany Silver Flatware, 1845-1905: When Dining Was an Art., by Hood, with Berlin and Wawrynek, published by Antique Collectors' Club in 2000.
