I have a small bowl designed with grapes and leaves. After reading your forum questions I now understand most of the markings on the bottom of the bowl. I still have a question about the T underneath the 925-1000 stamp. Any help and information is greatly appreciated. IP: Logged |

Tiffany used the initial of the current president of the company to help date the item. It is possible that the T on your bowk might stand for Charles L. Tiffany who was president during 1891 through 1902. Fred IP: Logged |

Due to technical problems, I have been unable to comment on this post until now, for which I apologize. Fred is correct. The "T" indicates manufacture 1891-1902, during which time Charles L. Tiffany was president (see the book Tiffany Silver by Carpenter and Carpenter [New York: Dodd, Mead, 1978], p. 256). IP: Logged |
