Although not about silver, I felt this might be of interest. This is from Online Edition of the Oyster Bay Enterprise Pilot, Friday Novemebr 10, 2000:

The article does mention a bit about silver... "Professor Jennifer Goldsborough will speak on the history and various silver services used in hosting a "Proper Tea," on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Planting Fields Arboretum. Participants are invited to bring one piece of their own tea equipment for discussion by the speaker. The lecture, will be followed by a proper tea." See Scott this was a very appropriate posting for the forum. I wish I could attend the Lecture. Fred IP: Logged |

So I guess this begs the on-line question, what one piece of their own tea equipment would forum members bring if they were to attend this meeting - and why? IP: Logged |
