Tiffany appears to have a few versions of their Berry patterns. The Blackberry is pictured in your book as well as the Strawberry pattern, both being referenced as separate patterns. Terry Hagen refers to it as "Berry" and states that it is a multi motif pattern. Is the Strawberry a separate pattern from Blackberry? Then there is the Strawberry pattern with the smooth edge and squared off tip with 3 large berries in the handle. What is the correct name of this pattern and it is also called "Strawberry" as well? Tiffany's older Strawberry and Blackberry patterns, introduced somewhere around the turn of the twentieth century, are often mistakenly thought to be motifs of the Vine pattern. But they are separate not-full-line patterns. The other "Strawberry" pattern to which you refer has Art Deco styling, and so presumably was introduced in the 1930s. But I don't know what Tiffany officially called it. IP: Logged |
