Is this a flask? It measures approximately 7" high and 4-1/2 inches in diameter. There is a cork inside the top that screws on. Thank you very much. (I read the FAQs on photos but since this is my first time to post please forgive me if photo is too big.)

I assume that you mean 4 1/2 inches in circumference rather than diameter. Anyway, I guess this is a flask. Seems too big to be a perfume holder. Have not seen this cylindrical form before, however. Most flasks have a flattened bottle shape. This one must have been designed to be carried in a traveling bag (or lady's purse?) rather than in the pocket of a jacket or pants. IP: Logged |

Mr. Hood, my distracted error on the use of "diameter" instead of "circumference" and of course, you are correct. Thank you very much for the information and your thoughtful response. IP: Logged |
