Here is a Whiting Aesthetic youth spoon. The decoration is etched, applied, engraved, and there is some hammering near the base of the handle. The detail is really good on the etching--there is even a place on the leaf where it looks like it was eaten away by a bug. Has anybody seen the fork or knife in this pattern? Also, there is a "G" stamped on the back by the STERLING mark. I don't know what this means, though I think it is perhaps the initial of whoever decorated this spoon. IP: Logged |
