chapmart Posts: 2 Registered: Mar 2005	posted 03-07-2005 07:20 PM I have a piece which is best described as a small serving plate with a makers mark that can be described as having a W within a star within a spider web and a number 177 south of the mark. In business from the early 1860s until the business was sold to International Silver in 1928. In 1961 the trademark was changed to Webster-Wilcox which continued to 1981 until the business was sold to Onieda silversmiths. Credit to The Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers.
