[26-0823] Hi Folks... I am the newbie out there picked up this beautiful set of silverware.. I know it is sterling silver and dated 1928.. I am not sure what is the design or who is the maker?? The maker mark looks like a J inside a J. I have not seen it in any of my research and to small to get a good picture of it.. PLEASE HELP!!

The 1928 is unlikely to be the date your particular set of silverware was made - that is simply the date this particular pattern was introduced by Towle and so they put it in the markings. It was popular and made for many years. The "J inside a J" marking is actually a "lion rampant inside a script capital letter T" which is the Towle marking. IP: Logged |
