We looked in our catalogue of New Art as we don't have time to hunt the things out!.......Here it goes: New Art featured several different flowers, at least two are: Lily and Fuchsia (this from Kate who knows flowers !!). For what its worth right now I can tell you the Pie Server is Fuchsia as is the Cracker server the Fish knife and fork servers (small variant) the waffle server, the cold meat fork (small) and the Jelly Knife (regular), while the pattern which is an Iris includes the Gravy ladle (8 inch), the Vegetable fork, the vegetable spoon, the salad spoon & fork ("small size") the cold meat fork (large..9 3/4 in.) the fish fork and knife (large size)and the asparagus fork. Also the Ice Cream server. I think that's it...hope its of interest, IP: Logged |

In "New Art" the large berry spoon measures 9 3/4 inches in length. The preserve spoon, probably the same as the small berry spoon, measures 8 5/8 inches. "New Art" has four floral motifs, each assigned to a specific handle type: iris to the tablespoon handle, Easter lily to the dessert spoon, narcissus to the "large" teaspoon and orange blossom to the regular-size teaspoon. The large berry spoon carries iris, the preserve spoon lily. "New Art," along with Durgin's "Iris" pattern, with which "New Art" is sometimes confused, will be the subject of an article to appear in Silver Magazine sometime in 2001. IP: Logged |
