I went to my library this morning to try to find the name of this R. Wallace & Son sterling pattern - no luck! I'll try to post the picture. It looks to me be some sort of mythological face; kind of creepy! It's marked R.W.S. Co Sterling. Thanks for your help.

The pattern name is "Florence", introduced in 1905. I think she's lovely. The mark is that of the Roger Williams Silver Co., Providence RI. The company was part of a merger in 1903 forming the Mount Vernon Company Silversmiths, Inc. which was purchased by Gorham Corp. about 1913. The pattern could be shown under either of the first two companies, depending on which reference you're using. Hope this helps! IP: Logged |
