This tiny little vase or bottle (1.5" high), probably having had a stopper at some point, is nicely made and appears to be a commercial item. The mark, as you can see, is a bell. The closest I saw in Rainwater is William Knoll, but there isn't an exact match there. Can anyone help with this one? IP: Logged |

This may be a variation of the Bell mark used by Wm. Knoll & Co New York. IP: Logged |

I would guess this was made by Bell Brothers Co., located in upstate NY somewhere (I can't find my copy of Rainwater at the moment to get the exact cith). I have a brush and letter opener set made of deer hooves with silver mountings; the silver mountings display similar repoussé work. My set is stamped BELL BRO'S CO. 925/1000 STERLING with a Bell trademark. IP: Logged |
