Thought I'd share these tiny (slightly over 1-3/4") little spoons with a lucky wishbone design from my Mom's salt collection. The one on the left is gold-washed sterling but the 1mm larger one on right is aluminum with "Xmas 1902" in the bowl - perhaps a holiday giveaway? ~Cheryl

Happened upon these two small mentions in the December, 1898 Jewelers' Circular - appears that both of these tiny spoons were Holiday giveaways, perhaps by 1902, they'd downgraded from sterling to aluminum..... Kind of surprised that there doesn't seem to be many of these around, since they appear to have given out a pretty good number of them. Also have to wonder what the merchants of over a century ago would think of our extended Holiday hours in comparison to theirs. ~Cheryl
